Generation Gap

Had this conversation with my parents over dimsum on sunday and realized how polar our views are like.

Mum: How is YY? when is she getting married?
Moi: Heard she got some problem with her bf. now undecided if they should stay together?
Mum: !!!! Why? Thought you said the bf proposed?
Moi: He did, in Hokkaido last year when they went on holiday…
Mum: If that is the case, she should not do this. It is not nice.
Moi: (my turn with my siblings) !!!! Just because she agreed to the proposal then, means done deal? It is lucky she is unsure now than after she finish her ceremonies
Mum: You young people these days have no willpower. Small issues then break up.
Moi: (the power combines~together with my siblings) You are the one outdated. If you are unsure, then you need to stop to think. It is no use sticking through the rites just because you accepted a proposal. That, is not right!

It is amazing how traditional my folks are. I feel scared. whaahahhhaa
